Voith electrohydraulic I/H converters are current-to-pressure converters (CPCs) that regulate hydraulic positioning cylinders via pilot valves. The positioning cylinders operate valves, controlling the mass flow required to drive the machinery. Voith I/H converters (CPCs) ensure extremely precise and highly dynamic control of mass flow.
I/H converters convert a constant input pressure into a variable output pressure. A standard 0/4–20 mA signal specifies the output pressure. The main components of an I/H converter are the hydraulic unit and the force control solenoid.
The I/H converter's compact design ensures reliable operation. Voith I/H converters have a mean time between failures (MTBF) of over 600 years. This allows your equipment to operate for extended periods without unplanned downtime, increasing availability.
I/H converters (CPCs) are also available in a redundant (hot-redundant) design: the DSM I/H converter module (DX-CPC).
